To celebrate four years since the launch of Ireland's National Health Protection Strategy, HSE Public Health: Health Protection are holding a conference on October 12th in the Round Room at The Mansion House, Dublin. Focusing on the theme of "Looking out: Ireland's role in global health security", the conference aims to unite national and international health experts and stakeholders in the fields of Health Protection and Health Security, serving as a platform for sharing insights, building relationships and fostering future collaborations.
Renowned international and national experts Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu (Assistant Director General, World Health Organization), Dr Pamela Rendi-Wagner (Director, European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control), Professor Mary Horgan (Chief Medical Officer, Department of Health), Dr Eamonn O'Moore (Director of National Health Protection, HSE) and Dr Helen O'Brien (Consultant in Public Health Medicine: Health Security) will address the conference.
The presentations at the event will cover a wide range of topics including an overview of the current state of play and future opportunities for Health Security within HSE Public Health: Health Protection. This event provides a unique opportunity to celebrate a remarkable year of progress, while also acting as a forum to learn from colleagues, strengthen our global connections and shape the future development of an all-hazards Health Protection service to enhance Ireland's health security.
